*OPTIONAL - Apply Vapor Shield to the substrate to reduce the green window of concrete, prevent efflorescence, and/or resist hydrostatic pressure coming through wall. Apply with a pump sprayer in conjunction with water, back to back. Repeat for a total of 2 coats. Allow 24 hours to dry prior to application of Mulasticoat

Stir MULASTICOAT with hand paddle. Roll, brush or spray Mulasticoat over the area to be waterproofed in two (2) coats. Embed Polyester Stitch Bond Fabric immediately during the application of the first coat over all flashing, plane changes, and joints and apply additional material on top of it. Allow to dry thoroughly between coats.

Apply Scratch Kote 2000 with a hopper gun, pressure sprayer or a ¾”-1¼” nap roller. Applied material should peak, not slump. Coat the Mulasticoat completely, as this coat acts as protection against punctures for the waterproof layer.

Hydrostatic Pressure

Method: ASTM C-1306          Result: Pass >45 psi*

*The test procedure only calls for taking the pressure to 45 psi but after passing so easily, test was taken up to 80 psi for 3 hours and surface still did not leak.

SCRATCH KOTE 2000

Weatherometer

Method: ASTM G23          Result: 2000 hrs Passed

Compressive Strength

Method: ASTM C109          Result: 2595 PSI @ 45 Day Air Cure

Q: Can The Premium Slatex System be used to waterproof poured in place walls?

A: Yes, the Mulasticoat waterproof membrane can be used on poured in place walls, just be sure to use water-based form release and clean the wall of it prior to application so Mulasticoat can bond properly to the concrete.

Q: Is The Premium Slatex System green friendly?

A: Yes, the VOC (volatile organic compounds) content in the products are less than 5 grams/liter. All of the products used are water-based as well. Unlike many competitors that claim to be “water-based” but also contain petroleum byproducts, Mulasticoat is made from 100% water born acrylics and contains ZERO ASPHALT EMULSION.

Q: Is the Premium Slatex System expensive?

A: The Premium Slatex System is cost effective when comparing it to other high end below grade waterproofing systems. This system is best used for situations that require superior elongation performance. For an industry leading economical system see “The BG2000 System”

Q: How do you bridge expansion joints and wall/floor 90º joints?

A: We recommend embedding a material called Polyester Stitch Bond Fabric into the first coat of Mulasticoat to act as a reinforcement material for high movement areas. It is an inexpensive way to ensure security and rigidity in areas that may be subject to extreme movement over time.
