KRETE KOTE 2000
OVERLAY CEMENT
Krete Kote 2000 is a polymer modified cementitious overlay with a mix of fine/medium aggregate to create a balanced texture that provides aesthetic smoothness and slip resistance to indoor and outdoor flooring. It is the Key component in the KRETE KOTE DECKING OVERLAY SYSTEM that beautifies and protects the concrete in applications like pool decks, balcony decks, driveways, and more. Patterns, colors and designs can be created to make the area fit any desired look. Bags of Krete Kote are available in two colors, white and grey. Additional colors can be created by the addition of our Liquid Dye Colorants.

SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Substrate must be structurally sound, free from grease, oil, paint, dirt, dust, sealers, laitence, curing compounds and other foreign materials which may prevent proper bonding. Cracks and imperfections must be repaired. Properly installed expansion joints should be cleaned.
MIXING:
- Using a mixing paddle, mix with 1.75-2 gallons of clean water* per bag for 1.5 minutes. Mix vigorously to disperse all lumps and to thoroughly wet all particles. Use margin trowel to clear vessel walls. For best results, let the KRETE KOTE sit in the mixing bucket for 3-5 minutes, then add a small amount of water to rebreak the material. This will give the material additional pot life.
*More water may be needed depending upon ambient temperature.
APPLICATION:
- KRETE KOTE can be applied by roller, trowel, or squeegee in one coat plus texture coat, or two or more coats plus texture coat, depending on surface condition. Use a Hopper Gun to spray material and knock it down while drying to achieve French Lace Texture.

Multicoat Corporation offers a special 5-year Limited Materials Warranty to Trained and Certified Applicators. This Limited Warranty (effective upon date of purchase) protects the Applicator against delamination problems with all Multicoat systems, as well as water intrusion of Multicoat’s Waterproofing System, provided:
- 1. Multicoat system has been properly applied by a certified applicator.
- 2. Problem is determined to be due to defect of Multicoat Corporation’s products.
- 3. Applicator has prepared and filed the required Warranty Information Form(s) with Multicoat Products, Inc. covering the specific customer job(s).
NOTE:
Warranty is not applicable if there is movement or cracking of the underlying base and/or the weight bearing cement covering of the waterproofing membrane. Failure to adhere to good construction and workmanship practices based on industry standard construction, means, methods, sequences and techniques could result in delamination, debonding and water instrusion for which Multicoat will not be responsible.
The end user must look to the Certified Applicator for satisfaction if any problem develops with the Multicoat system covered by the warranty. Multicoat suggests that the customer:
- 1. Use only a licensed contractor in good standing (fully bonded).
- 2. Make certain that the applicator has been certified by Multicoat, prior to work commencing or certification while on the job. A simple phone call to Multicoat is sufficient to determine if an applicator is certified and if such certification is in good standing.
In the event that it is determined that the Applicator failed to install the system(s) in accordance with Multicoat’s “instructions for use” or “specifications”, the warranty is void. See specific warranty information below.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
There are no warranties which extend beyond the description of the fact hereof. Seller expressly disclaims all other warranties regarding the use of its products, whether expressed or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and for fitness of a particular purpose. Since use of the product is beyond the Seller’s control, the Buyer assumes all risk of use.
EXCLUSIVE REMEDY
Seller’s sole obligation, and buyer’s exclusive remedy shall be to replace material if found to be defective.
DAMAGE LIMITATION
Seller shall not be liable for any damages, injury, loss, direct or consequential, resulting from its products. The parties intend that the limitation of damages, including consequential damages, applies even if the exclusive remedy provided for herein fails of its essential purpose.
Q: Can KRETE KOTE be used around pools?
A: Yes, KRETE KOTE was actually designed with the pool market in mind. It is highly flexible, chemical/wear resistant, and great for a pool deck.
Q: Can you only apply KRETE KOTE with a knock down finish?
A: No, we offer many different accessory products to help achieve any desired look. you can achieve grouted stones cape looks with out masonry templates/stencils, natural troweled textures, etc.
Q: Can I leave just the KRETE KOTE bare on my deck?
A: No, KRETE KOTE is a resin modified overlay and will be subject to staining if left unsealed with either a paint (Acrathane Colorseal) or a clear sealer (Clear20/Seal Brite).
Q: How do you bridge expansion joints and wall/floor 90º joints?
A: Quick answer, you don’t. You must honor existing expansion joints in concrete or you will see cracking along those areas broadcasted through the KRETE KOTE.
