FLEX-C (L)
SELF-LEVELING ADHESIVE SEALANT CAULKING
FLEX-C (L)® is a Self-Leveling Joint Sealant. FLEX-C (L) offers robust, flexible sealing capabilities, especially for joints that require more than 35% compression and extension. FLEX-C (L) boasts an eco-friendly composition, free from solvents or isocyanates, and emits minimal VOCs. Additionally, it has a subtle scent and is composed of 100% solids. FLEX-C (L) employs the advanced moisture cure hybrid polymer technology. This means it reacts and forms links when exposed to moisture, ensuring a long-lasting seal. This seal has exceptional resistance to weather and UV rays and functions efficiently in temperatures ranging from -40o F to 200o F.

APPLICATION
Remove all dirt, oil, loose paint, frost and other contamination from all working surfaces. Maintain Flex-C (L) at room temperature before applying to ensure easy gunning and tooling. Test and evaluate to ensure adequate adhesion. Carefully gun the sealant with a smooth, continuous bead. If tooling is needed, do so within fifteen minutes of application.
CONCRETE
Prior to application remove any residual contamination by mechanical abrasion, sand blasting or power washing. On green concrete, remove all release agents and loose concrete. Dry all visible and/or standing water. Install an appropriate backer rod to avoid three-point bonding.
METAL
Prepare all metal to ensure maximum adhesion. Remove all rust, scale and residue using a wire brush. Remove films, loose or inappropriate coatings and oils with an appropriate solvent such as alcohol.
*Multicoat recommends that coated substrates be tested for proper adhesion prior to starting a project to determine suitability for use.
WOOD
Wood should be clean, sound and dry prior to sealant application. Allow treated wood to weather for six months prior to application. Remove all coatings and paint to ensure proper adhesion. Flex-C (L) is not recommended for use on fire retardant lumber.
PRIMING
In most applications Flex-C (L) will not require a primer. However, certain substrates may require a primer to ensure a long lasting bond and weatherproof seal. It is the applicator’s responsibility to determine whether or not a primer is needed in their specific application.

Multicoat Corporation offers a special 5-year Limited Materials Warranty to Trained and Certified Applicators. This Limited Warranty (effective upon date of purchase) protects the Applicator against delamination problems with all Multicoat systems, as well as water intrusion of Multicoat’s Waterproofing System, provided:
- 1. Multicoat system has been properly applied by a certified applicator.
- 2. Problem is determined to be due to defect of Multicoat Corporation’s products.
- 3. Applicator has prepared and filed the required Warranty Information Form(s) with Multicoat Products, Inc. covering the specific customer job(s).
NOTE:
Warranty is not applicable if there is movement or cracking of the underlying base and/or the weight bearing cement covering of the waterproofing membrane. Failure to adhere to good construction and workmanship practices based on industry standard construction, means, methods, sequences and techniques could result in delamination, debonding and water instrusion for which Multicoat will not be responsible.
The end user must look to the Certified Applicator for satisfaction if any problem develops with the Multicoat system covered by the warranty. Multicoat suggests that the customer:
- 1. Use only a licensed contractor in good standing (fully bonded).
- 2. Make certain that the applicator has been certified by Multicoat, prior to work commencing or certification while on the job. A simple phone call to Multicoat is sufficient to determine if an applicator is certified and if such certification is in good standing.
In the event that it is determined that the Applicator failed to install the system(s) in accordance with Multicoat’s “instructions for use” or “specifications”, the warranty is void. See specific warranty information below.
